DIY Groovy Mod-style Easter eggs are easier
This Easter egg eaters creating exceptional colored eggs mod style with simple techniques tie-dye and tissue paper. Decorating Easter eggs has never been easier and less complicated traditional food coloring dyes. This project is perfect for class Art or take home with children.
Hands on time: Approximately 45 minutes per dozen.
Total time: disappear when you use, add two hours for drying time.
Difficulty: Easy, great project for children. (The teacher and class settlement).
Estimated cost: a few cents per egg.
Materials and tools
• boiled eggs
• Newspapers
• Tea lights (bases only)
For Easter eggs a tie-dye:
• colored pencils (I recommend Crayola brand, they have the best pigmentation)
• Pen size
• The role of small plates
• Box containing eggs
• elastic bands (optional)
For a tissue Easter eggs:
• Small bowl of water
• tissue paper boats in assorted colors
• Scissors, cut shapes (optional)
• A flat brush
• Mod-barrel half, brush the glaze
security Eggs:
Store eggs in the refrigerator until ready to use. Place eggs gently in a large saucepan and add cold water to cover all the eggs. On medium heat bring the water to a boil. Cover and turn off heat. Let the pot sit on the element for 15 minutes, then run eggs pot with cold water until the shells are cool and place the eggs in the refrigerator. (Skip step cooling of eggs for the project tie-dye).
dyes Tie-Easter Eggs:
area coverage of his work with newspapers. Choose two three crayons, pencils and sharpen chips in a small paper or aluminum. (Plastic or Styrofoam plates will melt when in contact with poached eggs). Make a different dish for each combination of colors. For example, make a dish with pieces of yellow, green and blue and one pink plate, purple and orange.
When the eggs are still warm, roll into pencil shavings color, turning occasionally. To cool, place eggs up on a tea-light or backward in the packaging. The colors will mix and melt together watching the screen swirls of color are produced.
Placing rubber bands around some of the eggs before decorating them will create bands. The individual results simply impress your friends and family.
Tissue paper Easter eggs:
Place a small container of water (Potts covers can also be used) and several sites of tissue paper in your workspace. Place the eggs in the stands of tea-light. Scissors can be used to cut a variety of geometric shapes (broken hand pieces are equally effective.)
With a brush, moisten the egg, then place tissue paper in many ways through the eggs, one at a time, overlapping and moisten walking. When the egg is completely covered, let it sit for a few minutes.
Now you have two options:
1. Remove the tissue paper before completely dry and have now magical eggs stained with egg dyes dim light without using eggs.
2. Apply Mod Podge medium with a brush directly on the damp, eggs and leave dry tissue. You may apply if you want to disappear once it is completely dry.
You now have Easter eggs ready groovy colors for a decorating theme of the hip.
Advice
• You can also decorate the top of Easter eggs with eggs empty. Click a small hole with a pin or small nail in the end very close to a raw egg, make a hole slightly larger in the other end. Hold the egg over a bowl and blow through the small hole. Liquid egg slowly escaping from the open end. Rinse thoroughly and dry shells. Make scrambled eggs or quiche with egg yolks.
• Be sure to keep eggs refrigerated until ready decoration to hide or decorate your room. They are eggs decorative, not intended for consumption.
• If you dye your eggs with natural dyes and traditional food, I recommend you use plastic gloves avoid dying fingers. Eggs decorated with nontoxic dyes to color the eggs can be eaten, but they have not been broken or have been unrefrigerated for more than two hours.
Variations:
• Other egg-cellent ideas and variations: spots, stripes, sponge-painted, mottled, mosaic, pearl, glitter, batik cutting wax, old or cracked. Try to decorate with a few basic items you can find around your house shine, pieces of rubber stamps tape sequins and lace, glitter glue, tiny beads, pieces of pasta, and regular and metallic pens. With a colored pencil drawing as a flower or rabbit Give your name, or words in eggs before dying.
• To keep eggs from a decorative accent throughout the year, try painting wood, plaster mache, stone, paper or eggs. To give an aged appearance, sprinkle with a pinch salt and flour and pour the water, let dry, then seal with varnish.
