This is actually a much more difficult appears because of our history taught ill the early Christian church. The Eastern Orthodox Church Churches have their roots go back to the apostles and Jesus Christ. After the crucifixion of Jesus. its personal friend and disciple Peter, the head of the paleo-Christian church in Jerusalem ….. In Jerusalem. The Roman Christian Church was directed by Saul / Paul, a Jew was of what is now northern Turkey. He is the man who had a religious vision, a man who never met Jesus or his friends and disciples. They were not what same Christian Churches. In fact, Peter and Paul took the early popes, to scroll through the Christian Church. 300 years after the crucifixion of Jesus was not one or two versions of Christianity, but many. The main one is the Church of Jerusalem and the Roman Church. Which version is correct? Good question. Personally, not being or Catholic or Orthodox, I think the logical choice would be the Eastern Orthodox, who came in REAL followers of Jesus. But that has more power and more money always wins …. and that would be Rome. In fact, the Roman Church has been physically after other forms of Christianity and destroy them. It completely wiped out the card Cathers killing men, women, children …. Killing Christians. Important point in the complete separation of the churches were the decisions taken during the preparation of "approved" the books of the Bible in the Roman Church wanted the total removal of a large number of great books. When Constantine the idea of divine sonship of Jesus or divintiy, in fact, was decided after the events of the lineage of Jesus from the line of King David on both sides of his family allowed that Jesus had to be real King of Israel and sit on the throne as legitimate sovereign in opposition to the rule of the spiritual. It's huge problem with Jews had Jesus. The line of kings and priests were a separate line. A king could not be a priest and a priest could not be a king. John the Baptist was in line with the High Priest. The early Christians the early church in Jerusalem were Christian Jews. Constantine also had problems with "Return of the King" thing. He did not want people to think another king, he also came to lead the people. The Council of Nicea helped this idea of divine kingship of Jesus as opposed to their historical rights the monarchy. The Eastern Orthodox Church had serious problems with all these decisions on the road and broke the Roman Catholic Church. Wikepedia has a really super article that covers all this.
