What is the date of Easter determined?
I know that Easter is celebrated the first Sunday after the first full moon after the Spring equinox. But why is there a difference between the date of Orthodox and Catholic churches? I know they use a different schedule, but what is the real reason to use a different program?
The calculation of the date of Easter is the work of the Pope of Rome. Top division of the two groups use the calendar Julian. After separation, Gregory changed the calendar and added leap day.
